Dancing is not just a form of physical exercise; it's also highly beneficial for mental health. Engaging in dance can significantly boost mood, reduce stress, and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. It also fosters social interaction and connection, which are crucial for mental well-being. Moreover, the rhythmic movements of dance can serve as a form of mindfulness, helping individuals stay present and engaged, which promotes overall mental resilience.

“Fitness allows YOU to be your best self. It gives you the energy to affect the world for good. You are physically stronger, mentally sharper, and your mood uplifted.

I’ve seen it and strive to live it!”

FAQs

What can I expect during our class?

A class starts with a gentle warm-up that evolves into energetic, expansive movements, ultimately leading to a satisfying stretch and relaxation session with breathing exercises. The class utilizes the whole space—walls and floors included—and thrives on simplicity, avoiding complex choreography to keep things straightforward. Every session is infused with the unique energy and style of its facilitator, while maintaining the philosophy of unity and individual expression in dance, creating a vibrant, communal atmosphere where each person grooves in their own way.

What is the class etiquette?

In sessions, talking is discouraged to keep the focus on movement and comfort; instead, dancers express themselves through their bodies. If you need a break or aren't feeling the music, there's a designated Chill Out Zone on the dance floor where you can relax, stretch, or take a break—just no talking. For those who want to explore their own style, the Freestyle zone is the perfect place to let loose and dance freely.

How should I prepare for class?

For a delightful experience, remember to dress comfortably in any style that suits you, shoes are optional. It's crucial to stay hydrated as sessions can get quite intense, so bring a water bottle and take breaks as needed. Most importantly, be kind to yourself and manage your needs to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the class.
